Mumbai, April 3 (IANS) Filmmaker Sanjay Tripathy, who has bought the rights of the book “Escape To Nowhere” for a movie adaptation, says he will start shooting for it by early 2016. He has tentatively named the film “96”.

“My film is in the final stage of scripting. Now we will start with the casting of the film. The movie will go on floors by early 2016. I have bought the official rights of this novel ‘Escape To Nowhere’, which is a spy thriller, but it’s not a typical spy movie. I have tentatively titled the film as ’96’ now… let’s see,” Tripathy told IANS.

“Escape To Nowhere”, by Amar Bhushan, is an espionage thriller on the disappearance of a RAW officer in 2005.

Talking about his wishlist of actors for the film, he said that he is very keen on casting the southern superstar Mohanlal, as well as Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

“The film has many layers in it and I need an actor who can justify this. I am just one film old, so let’s see how things fall into place,” said Tripathy, who debuted as a director in 2013 with the film “Club 60”, starring Sarika, Satish Shah and late actor Farooque Sheikh.
