CM Yediyurappa to Inaugurate ‘Prakashabhinandana’ at Gold Finch City
Mangaluru: To mark the 60th birthday of Korangrapadi Prakash Shetty, president of MRG group, a felicitation programme “Prakashabhinandana” at Gold Finch City, Bangrakulur on December 25 has been organized. The programme will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Yediyurappa”, said Gurme Suresh Shetty, President of Prakashabhinandana Committee in a press meet held at Hotel Gold Finch here on December 23.
Addressing the mediapersons Suresh Shetty said, “To mark the “Prakashabhinandana”, on December 19, Rs 1 crore scholarship was distributed to 166 deserving and financially weak students. Prakash Shetty has contributed a lot to the society and on his 60th birthday, we the committee members planned to hold “Prakashabhinandana”.
Suresh Shetty further said, “The programme will be inaugurated by CM Yediyurappa. More than 25000 people are expected to take part in the celebrations. At 4:00 pm, Patla Sathish Shetty and team will perform Yakshagana. The programme will be inaugurated at 6:00 pm and will be followed by a musical nite by Indian film score and soundtrack composer and singer Arjun Janya and Vijay Prakash. Film Actors Ravichandran and Yash will be the special guests of the day. The DCM Dr C N Ashwathnarayan, Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Central minister Sadananda Gowda, BJP state president Nalin Kumar Kateel, Tourism minister C T Ravi, MLC and district minister in-charge Kota Srinivas Poojary, MP Shobha Karndlaje, MLA Sumalatha Ambarish will be the chief guests”.
Suresh Shetty also said, “During the programme achievers in various fields, Dr Amritha Someshwar, Dr B M Hegde, Chandrashekhar Shetty Bengaluru, Dr Sunitha Shetty, Appanna Hegde Basrur, Jaya Suvarna, R N Shetty, Jagannath Shetty Pune, M N Rajendra Kumar, L G Soans, Shimanthur Narayana Shetty, K Govind Bhat Soorikumeru, Bannanje Sanjeev Suvarna, Koteshwar Lakshminarayan Acharya, Bola Subbayya Shetty, Sara Abubaker, Narayan Rao Padubidri and Narayana Shenoy will be felicitated. Film stars Ravichandran, Yash, Haripriya, Manvita Harish, Kavya Shetty, Arjun Janya, Vijayprakash and others will also take part in the programme. Anushree, Nithesh Shetty Yekkar and Roopesh Shetty will compere the programme”.
