Coalition Candidate Mithun Rai files Nomination
Mangaluru: The Dakshina Kannada coalition candidate Mithun filed his nomination for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections on March 25.
After the Congress party meet at the Town Hall, Mithun Rai along with the party leaders Janardhan Poojary, Ramanath Rai, U T Khader and JD(S) leader Amarnath Shetty proceeded to the District Collector’s office to file his nomination.
After filing the nomination Mithun Rai speaking to mediapersons said, “I have filed my nomination for the Lok Sabha polls as a coalition candidate from Dakshina Kannada. I was just a booth level Congress worker, the media highlighted me as Mithun Rai and helped me grow as a leader. Today early morning I visited Sri Rajarajeshwari Temple in Polali, from there I visited the Addur Darga and offered prayers. Later I visited the Innoli Somanatheshwar Temple, my house Temple and visited my Mother’s house and offered prayers to the deity.”
Mithun Rai further said, “From there I offered prayers to the Gomatha and visited Kudroli Gokarnanth Temple. I also visited the Juma Masjid and proceeded to the Rosario Cathedral. Fr J B Crasta blessed me and pray for my victory in the elections. I reached the Town Hall to take part in the Party meeting and later filed my nomination at 1:27 pm. I urge the people of Dakshina Kannada through the media to give me an opportunity to serve them. Support from the people of all religions and the youth will be my success.”
Mithun Rai also met the Bishop of Mangaluru Diocese Dr Peter Paul Saldanha and craved his blessings.
