Coast Guard Rescue 23 Crew from a Engine Failure Ship near Bhatkal

Mangaluru : As per the information sent to Team Mangalorean by Karnataka Coast Guard at Panambur Commander Dasila, it stated that ICGS Rajdoot rescued 23 crew-ex-IFB NSG Reg no KA04MM2473 reported adrift view engine failure on 17 Sep 2019 by CSP Bhatkal 30 NM from Mavinakurve. Indian Coast Guard Ship Rajdoot on patrol off Karnataka and Goa coast was diverted to the incident site.

On arrival to the datum the Technical Team of Rajdoot embarked IFB and provided technical support. However, the engine could not be started. All 23 crew reported safe. Coast Guard requested IFB Pavan Sutta Reg no KA02MM1826 fishing in vicinity for towing assistance. At present IFB is being towed to Bhatkal. IFB SDY also provided assistance to Coast Guard.
