‘Come Celebrate Your Life’! Bondel Church All Geared Up for ‘Bondel Fiesta 2020’ on 25 & 26 Jan
Mangaluru: Yes, Come Celebrate Your Life’- at the Mega Fun & Frolic Fiesta named “BONDEL FIESTA 2020′ organized by St Lawrence Church and Shrine, Bondel, Mangaluru in the Church Grounds on 25th and 26th January 2020. Such Fiesta is organised for the second year in a row with good response by people from all religion across the city and outside taking part in the fiesta last year, and the organizers expect a crowd of 15K, who will be enjoying the entertainment, food and game stalls on Saturday from 3 pm to 10 pm, and on Sunday Republic Day from morning 8 am till 10 pm.
Both veg and Non-veg delicacies will be served to tickle the taste buds of the connoisseurs. Entertainment and fun games will be held every minute to keep up the spirits of the participants. Lucky draw, housie housie both traditional and creative, Team games, live singing, Musical evening, etc. will make Bondel Fiesta a place to be during these two days. Around 40 stalls will be placed equally dedicated to games and food. There will be a face painting counter so as to provide a festive and colourful look to the gathering.
Special attraction this year will be Live Sketching and Painting by a renowned artist ‘Nirupam Konwar’ from Guwahati and based at Bengaluru. Painting done will be auctioned at the Fiesta. To go along with it there will be two mega-events happening each evening. On 25th January, Saturday at 5.30 pm, “Star Chef of Fiesta”, a very unique fashion show cum spoken round for all the homemakers is organized. On 26th January, Sunday, a event named , “Talented Siblings” will be for all. Already quite a few people have registered for these events.
Also, as a part of social media reach, the organizers have initiated a competition called, ‘Star of Fiesta’ where individual pictures will be posted in the Bondel Fiesta Frame and shared among the social media groups. The picture with the highest likes will be declared the “Star of Fiesta 2020” and will be given a cash award of Rs 5,555. On Sunday, 26th January at 6:00 pm Dr Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangaluru Diocese will launch the CD ‘Mogachi Lara’ composed by Vincent Fernandes Cascia.
The main pillars of this FIESTA, Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza, Parish Priest St Lawrence Church, Fr Clifford Pinto, Principal St Lawrence English Medium School, Reginald D’Souza Vice President Pastoral Parish Council, Steevan Noronha Secretory Parish Pastoral Council, Manoj Lewis Co-ordinator Cultural and Entertainment Committee Bondel Fiesta are of full hopes that this unique Fiesta will be a successful one- and that Every member of St Lawrence Church will be out of their homes and will be completely engrossed in making these two days of fun and extravaganza meaningful and beautiful for all those who participate in it. The entire revenue generated will be used for the development of Bondel church upcoming developmental projects.
