Committed to implement Auradkar Committee’s report- Basavaraj Bommai
Udupi: State Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai who has been newly appointed as the Udupi District minister in-charge was given a rousing welcome at the circuit house during his maiden visit to the district after becoming the minister on Friday, September 27.
On behalf of the district administration G Jagadeesh, deputy commissioner of Udupi district, Nisha James superintendent of Police and Preethi Gehlot chief executive officer Zilla Panchayat welcomed the minister.
Addressing to the media persons Basavaraj Bommai said, the state government is committed to implementing the Auradkar Committee’s report, regarding the hike in salaries of police personnel. Before the BJP government came to power, the staff of fire and emergency services department kept out of the Auradkar committee report but we have included all in the committee report and two rounds of meetings have already been held in this regard, he said.
