Comprehensive Health checkup for Defence forces personnel & their dependents by KMC Hospitals
Mangaluru: A Heart screening and comprehensive health check-up camp is being organised by NCC group Headquarters and KMC hospitals Mangalore in association with the ECHS polyclinic and the unit run canteen, CSD at Pandeshwar NCC group Headquarters on Tuesday the 22nd May 2018 from 8:30 AM to 2 PM.
The camp is specially being organised for the serving & Retired Defence forces personnel, their dependents and the NCC staff.
The medical check-up team will be lead by Dr Padmanabha Kamath, Head of Department of Cardiology at KMC Mangaluru.
Contributing towards this social cause will be Col. Anil Nautiyal, the Group Commander- NCC Mangalore and the team of NCC Officers as well as NCC Cadets of All the Three wings of Army, Navy & Airforce who will be interacting with the Ex-Servicemen during the Health Camp.
Lt. Col. Amit Ashri, The Training Officer at NCC Group Headquarters stated that they wish to collaborate and do more constructive activities in future for their Servicemen & dependants.
There will be free Sugar test, ECG of the Heart B.P check & advise as well as the needy people as advised by the doctors will be offered Free Cholesterol (LIPID) Test, Vascular Profile & Thyroid Test.
Dr Anand Venugopal – Medical Superintendent, KMC Hospitals Mangaluru told that this is a small gesture of recognising the yeoman service put up by the defence personnel and the sacrifice made by their Family and this is an initiative towards maintaining their good health.
