Cong Leader Belur Gopalakrishna gives call for PM Narendra Modi’s assassination, later justifies
Bengaluru: Congress leader was caught on camera instigating his supporters to assassinate Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Well @RahulGandhi we remember you saying you don’t endorse hate politics but now that your own party leader has openly called for assassination of democratically elected PM of this Nation would you act on him ?
If you don’t act it clearly means you endorse his words. https://t.co/C6nw2T3k3J

Karnataka Congress leader Belur Gopalakrishna in the video had asked his supporters if they have “the courage to kill PM Narendra Modi” then there is no need to “kill anyone else” from the BJP.
“They (BJP) speak about Nathuram Godse today who killed Gandhiji. Such people should not be in our country. If you have the courage to kill PM Narendra Modi, don’t kill anyone else in the party,” Gopalakrishna said in the video shared by the Karnataka BJP on Twitter.
Posting the video on Twitter, Karnataka BJP asked Congress president Rahul Gandhi to take action against the Congress leader for “openly” calling for “assassination of democratically elected PM”. The BJP further said if Rahul Gandhi fails to take appropriate action, it would mean that the Congress president was endorsing his partyman Gopalakrishna’s “kill Modi” agenda.
Shocking statement from #CONgress leader Belur Gopalakrishna, he calls out to assassinate PM @narendramodi.
To appease a particular section #Congress instigating for the assassination of an elected PM.

“Well, Rahul Gandhi we remember you saying you don’t endorse hate politics but now that your own party leader has openly called for the assassination of democratically elected PM of this Nation would you act on him? If you don’t act it clearly means you endorse his words,” Karnataka BJP tweeted…
Meanwhile, many social media users on Tuesday reported that BJP’s website was hacked, and shared screenshots of an unflattering meme featuring PM Modi.
A caption above the meme said, in abusive language: “Brothers and sisters, I’ve fooled all of you. Brothers and sisters, we’ve fooled all of you. More to come! Many, many congratulations!”
The BJP website was down at the time when this story was last updated. “We’ll be back soon! Sorry for the inconvenience but we’re performing some maintenance at the moment. we’ll be back online shortly!,” a message at the BJP website read.
Later, Gopalakrishna claimed that he had made these comments a month ago. Why is the BJP raking these up now, he asked.
