Cong misused power during Sadhana Samavesha: Vilas Nayak
Udupi: Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal alleged that the Congress has misused its power and supplied food from Kollur temple to people who gathered at Sadhana Samavesha held during Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s programme here.
Speaking to reporters, VHP leader Vilas Nayak said that it is highly unjustified as the administrative mechanism has been misused. Kollur temple administration has agreed to supply food for the Sadhana Samavesha organised by the Congress government. He alleged that Kollur temple had refused to supply food for saints and devotees who had come from across the country during the three-day Dharam Samsad. How come the temple administration agreed to supply food for Congress supporters, he questioned.
He added that Congress has taken undue advantage of being in power. “Sadhana Samavesha was indeed Congress Samavesha. Congress flags were unfurled everywhere in the district. It was not at all the government’s programme,” he said. He demanded that the police should look into the amount remitted to the Kollur temple by the chief minister to bear the expenses.
He added that BJP flags were not put anywhere during the three-day Dharma Samsad. No political issues were raised in Dharma Samsad. He also declined the allegation that Pramod Madhawraj was not invited for the three-day Dharam Samsad. He said he tried contacting him many times but in vain.
