Congress Allegations on Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat make Sense – U T Khader
Mangaluru: ‘The allegations made by the Congress party about the involvement of Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat in communal disturbances in Bantwal make sense. The murder of Auto driver Ashraf Kalayi is evidence for his involvement’, said the Minister for Food and Civil Supplies U T Khader in a press meet held at the Eden Club here on June 25.
Addressing the mediapersons U T Khader said, ‘Prior to the murder of Ashraf Kalayi Prabhakar Bhat had held a pressmeet in which the prime accused in Ashraf’s murder was sharing the dais with Bhat. Bhat had called a press meet regarding the Kalladka violence issue. After only a few days Ashraf was brutally murdered. The Police should investigate on Prabhakar Bhat sharing the dais with the prime accused in Ashraf murder case.’
U T Khader further said, ‘Sheena Poojary a Beedi quality checker and a specially abled person used to travel by Ashraf’s autorickshaw to his shop. Ashraf used to help Sheena Poojary whenever he was called by him. But the prime accused in Ashraf murder case sharing the dais with Prabhakar Bhat has created doubts in the minds of the people about Bhat’s involvement.’
Khader also said, ‘When political leaders take part in any public or private programmes people click pictures with them. But Kalladka Bhat calling himself a religious Hindu leader, holding press meets and sharing the dais with a murder accused is a matter of concern. Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat should clarify whether the murder accused shared the dais on his own or if someone had asked him to share the dais. Prior to the murder, a meeting was called at the Boliyar Block office. But the intelligence does not have the information. The meeting at Boliyar Block office should also be investigated. We will bring this to the notice of the concerned police officers’.
