Congress along with PFI & SDPI trying to Destabilise State Govt in the name of CAA – C T Ravi

Mangaluru: “The Congress party has joined hands with PFI and SDPI and is trying to destabilize the state government. The Congres thought that there would be violence when the triple talaq bill was passed, article 370 or during the Ram Mandir and Babri Masjid verdict. The Congress party is disappointed and is now trying to instigate violence in the name of CAA. In a democracy, we all have the opportunity to protest but destroying property is a crime. The Congress party supported violence and is now talk about the constitution. I would like to ask the Congress Party whether the vote bank is more important than the country? In 1950 Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru and the Prime Minister of Pakistan Liaquat Ali Khan signed a treaty and more than one million refugees migrated from East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) to West Bengal in India. Which is against the Constitution? Has any injustice been done with any Indian because of the CAA? U T Khader had said, “If CAA will be implemented in Karnataka, we will set fire in Karnataka. Why the Congress has maintained silence over U T Khader’s statement”?  questioned tourism minister C T Ravi, during a press meet held at the BJP office here on December 26.

Addressing the mediapersons C T Ravi said, “Who is communal? Who is dividing the community? I request the CM to initiate UP model action against the protesters who are responsible for damaging public property during the protests and recover the loss from them. U T Khader’s property should also be attached to recover Even the property of U T Khader should be attached.  The Congress has joined hands with PFI r the loss because of his inciting speech.”

C T Ravi further said, “When the Congress was in power, cases against SDPI and PFI were dropped. Congress has a bad habit of playing the blame game. There CCTV footage of the recent violence in Mangaluru has been released by the police. Congress has the habit of blaming others. When the Congress lost the elections, they blamed the EVM. Now they are blaming the police for the violence. They are also blaming the police for releasing the Videos of the recent violence.”

When asked about the warning from the CM for all the elected members giving inciting speeches, C T Ravi said, “I did not say that I will set fire. But U T Khader had said that, if the CAA will be implemented in Karnataka he will set fire. I am very careful in my statement, I had warned of the consequences if the majority gets involved in violence, but U T Khader had given an inciting speech which led to violence.”

When asked Why the compensation was withdrawn by the CM, C T Ravi said, “If any of the deceased are accused in violence, compensation will not be given. The deceased Jalil and Nausheen are accused of the violence and an FIR has been registered against them. If they are innocent we will surely give the compensation”.

When asked about the statement of Kaithal MLA Leela Ram Gurjar, “Those opposing CAA and NRC will be “wiped out” in an hour”. C T Ravi said, “We have to understand on what grounds he had given that statement. Sometimes it’s cut and paste news, Maybe he has advised the people.”

When asked if all citizens should submit their documents? C T Ravi said, “Those who do not have documents, they should fear. Those who have the documents and are born in India need not worry. Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan are declared Islamic countries. In Pakistan, Hindus were 23% but now they are only 1.75% why? In India, the population of Muslims was 9% but now it has reached 15%. In India Muslims are safe and in Pakistan, minorities are not safe.”

Capt Brijesh Chowta, Nithin Kumar, Randeep Kanchan, Sanjay Prabhu, Jitendra Kottari and Nandan Mallya were also present.
