Congress Government has failed to Protect Women – Uday Kumar Shetty
Udupi: The Congress Government has failed to Protect Women in the State said BJP State Executive member K. Uday Kumar Shetty. He was speaking at a press meet held at the Press Club here on March 10.
The atrocities happening in Bengaluru have found roots in Udupi district. The government has failed in protecting the interests of government officials and women. The Congress government in the State has failed in implementing law and order effectively. The atrocities on women are at rising as also the attacks on government officials to fulfill their duty honestly.
The officials from the rank of deputy commissioner to the rank of D group are finding difficulty in serving the people effectively. The sand mafia has ruined the district, the government instead of taking stern action on the sand mafia is silent over the issue.
Pramod Madhwaraj’s silence over the sand mafia issue is to be condemned. He has also failed to convene a meeting with the deputy commissioner to crack down on the sand mafia in the district. People have stood in support of the deputy commissioner but Pramod Madhwaraj is yet to take any stand. The government should wake up and initiate stringent measures on the issues destroying the district, he added.
