Congress Government has Misused ACB, Corrupt DKS should Resign – BJP
Mangaluru: The district BJP staged a protest against the Congress government for misusing the ACB and supporting the communal forces in front of the DC office here on August 23.
Addressing the protesters BJP leader Jayaram Shetty said, “The Congress government led by CM Siddaramaiah is involved in corruption and various scams. The BJP government led by CM Yeddyurappa had earlier implemented various pro-people schemes but Congress is involved in politics of enmity. Now since the election is nearing, the Congress is aware that the BJP will win and Yeddyurappa will become the Chief Minister, so the Siddaramaiah government is misusing the ACB to re-open all the cases against Yeddyurappa.”
Jayaram Shetty further said, “When Indira Gandhi was the Prime Minister, her theme was “Garibi Hatavo”, but till date, they are unable to eradicate poverty. Now the Congress government has started the Indira Canteen which is another way to make money and not to be of help to the poor. Siddaramaiah is a useless CM, he has failed to give transparent governance. All the Congress leaders should resign and make way for the next elections. D K Shivakumar who is involved in corruption should resign.”
Addressing the protesters former MLA Yogish Bhat said, “In Karnataka, the Congress government led by CM Siddramaiah is trying to arrest the BJP leaders because he is aware that in the next elections BJP will win by a huge margin. Siddaramaiah has misused the ACB by appointing M N Reddy and Kempaiah to file cases against Yeddyurappa. If the Congress has the proof against Yeddyurappa let they file cases against him.”
Yogish Bhat further said, “The election is nearing and the Congress government is pleasing the KFD and PFI so that the votes should not be divided. In the ZP elections, people supported BJP which won the elections. In the coming elections, we need to give a befitting reply to the Congress. We have to bring awareness to the people about the Congress government and its corruption”.
The BJP state Mahila Morcha spokesperson Sulochana G K Bhat said, “To make money the Congress government has started the Indira canteen. Four years ago during the elections, the Congress Party said that they will provide transparent governance. But now most of the congress leaders are corrupt and the.ACB has been misused. In his dream, CM Siddaramaiah always sees Yeddyurappa and the district minister in-charge Ramanath Rai sees Dr Prabhakar Bhat. Now CM Siddramaiah is also dreaming of Amit Shah as he had come to Bengaluru and assured of winning more than 150 seats in the next elections. Amit Shah had also said that if the BJP will win, Yeddyurappa will become the next CM.”
Capt Brijesh Chowta, Dr Bharath Shetty, Padmanabh Kottari, Santhosh Boliyar, Vedavyas Kamath, Eshwar Kateel, Umanath Kotian, Ravishankar Mijar, Devdas Shetty, Puja Pai, Sandhya Venkatesh and others were also present.
