Congress Govt made Internal Agreement with Taliban Forces – C T Ravi
Mangaluru: “In 2015, the Congress government had dismissed 175 cases filed against 1600 KFD and PFI activists. When the Congress government had dismissed the cases the BJP alleged and questioned the Congress for dismissing the cases? We also alleged that the Congress Government had made an internal agreement with the Communal forces that if they would vote for Congress they would be protected. Since then more than 24 activists from Hindu organizations have been brutally murdered. All the 24 murders are similar and whatever we had alleged is proven to be true. The Congress has made an agreement with the Taliban forces. To protect and strengthen the vote bank the Congress is playing with the lives of innocent people. This is not an isolated incident. Who trained them? Who is funding them? Who is providing legal help? questioned former District Minister In-Charge C T Ravi in a press meet held at the BJP office here on January 3.
Addressing the mediapersons C T Ravi said, “Many Hindu activists have been murdered and whatever investigations we had requested were not done which shows that the Congress has joined hands with the Taliban forces which is very dangerous for peace and harmony in the district. When Kuttappa was murdered, the Home Minister said that the Mafia from Kerala have entered illegally into Karnataka and are involved in the murders. How many are arrested? What sections have been imposed on them? The Congress Government should take the responsibility for all these murders.”
C T Ravi further said, “Deepak Rao lost his father when he was 8-year-old. Deepak was the only breadwinner to his family, his brother is a handicap and his mother is a housewife. Deepak’s death has shocked the family. The government should provide a minimum of Rs 25 lakh compensation to Deepak ‘s family. Recently the District Minister In-charge Ramanath Rai had given an inciting statement saying that because of the vote from Muslims he had won the elections six times. His inciting statement and his support to Muslims have led to the murders of Hindu activists. It is true that he won the elections six times because of the grace of Allah it is also true that the Taliban have grown in the district. Ramanth Rai should take the responsibility for all these murders and should resign from the post. We have lost many activists and we cannot sit quiet anymore. We will not rest until these cases are handed over to the NIA and our demands are not met.”
C T Ravi also said, “Suratakal MLA Bava is protecting the criminals and this should be investigated. Before Dakshina Kannada becomes the hub for drugs and a communal hot spot the Congress should stop having a soft corner towards the Taliban forces. We condemn the comparison of Communal and criminals by the Congress government.”
When asked about the compensation of Rs 50 lakhs demanded by MP Nalin for Deepak’s family, C T Ravi said, “I have no information of that but I request a minimum of Rs 25 lakh to Deepak’s family. When a cow trafficker was killed while trafficking cows, the government immediately sanctioned Rs 10 lakh to his family. If the government sanctions Rs 50 lakh we welcome it. The Congress is asking us whether we have taken Hindutva on Contract, we have not take Hindutva on Contract but Congress has taken the Taliban on contract. Those who are asking us did not show up at the mortuary to see the body of Deepak.”
Former District Minister In-charge Krishna J Palemar, MLA Yogish Bhat, District BJP President Sanjeev Matandoor, Vedavyas Kamath, Brijesh Chowta, Dr Bharat Shetty, Nitin Kumar and Sanjay Prabhu were also present.
