Congress-JDS Coalition Candidate Pramod Madhwaraj Files Nomination
Udupi: Pramod Madhwaraj, the Congress-JDS coalition candidate for the Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha constituency filed his nomination papers at the DC office on Monday, March 25.
Pramod Madhwaraj was accompanied by K J George district minister for Chikkamagaluru District, Dr Jayamala Udupi District minister in-charge, Dr D L Vijaykumar president DCC Chikkamagaluru and KPCC Secretary M A Gafoor while filing the nomination to the election officer and also deputy commissioner Hephsiba Rani Korlapati.
Before filing the nomination papers Pramod Madhwaraj visited Neelavara Mahisha Mardhini Temple, Mother of Sorrows Church Udupi and the Doddangudee Mosque where he offered prayers.
Later speaking to media persons Pramod Madhwaraj said, “Today with the blessings of the leaders and workers I have filed the nomination papers as a Congress-JDS coalition candidate for Udupi–Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha constituency. The earlier MP Shobah Karndlaje has failed to tackle the problems of both the districts. We always need a working MP for this constituency and I hope the people of this Parliamentary segment will elect me with a high margin”.
