Congress Party has Sidelined Siddaramaiah after Assembly Elections – Shobha Karandlaje

Udupi: “In recent assembly elections, the Congress party was able to get only 78 seats because of the former chief minister Siddaramaiah. Siddaramaiah was responsible to get the minority and Kuruba community votes for the party. But it is sad to see that those who had worked for the party day and night have been sidelined today,” said the Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP, Shobha Karandlaje.

She was speaking to reporters at the BJP office in the city on Sunday, May 27. “During the elections, the Congress party needed the votes of the Kuruba community. There is no importance for any Congress leader in Karnataka. Siddaramaiah was the only star speaker for the Congress campaign. But now the Congress party high command has given priority to Kumaraswamy and sidelined Siddaramaiah. Let Siddaramaiah understand the Congress party’s ‘Use and Throw’ mentality,” she said.

Karandlaje said that the present state government has two high commands. One high command is located in Padmanabhanagar and the other in New Delhi.

She also talked about a farmer who committed suicide in Kumaraswamy’s assembly constituency. She said, “In Dharmasthala, Kumaraswamy did not show his willingness in waiving farmers’ loans. Kumaraswamy should take a clear stand on farmers’ issues. During the election campaign, Kumaraswamy had assured the farmers of waiving the loan but has failed to fulfill his promise.” Various associations have called for Karnataka bandh on Monday and the BJP is supporting the bandh.
