Congress stages Protest against Resort Politics and Operation Kamala by BJP
Mangaluru: The DK District Congress staged a protest against the resort Politics and operation Kamala by the BJP in front of the DCC office Mallikatta here on January 17.
Addressing the protestors DCC President Harish Kumar said, “After the Coalition government came to power in Karnataka, the BJP is hell-bent on destabilising it. The BJP State president Yeddyurappa, Amit Shah and Modi are playing with the sentiments of the people and are playing dirty horse-trading politics. The BJP has given the deadline to destabilize the coalition government. From the last 6 months, the BJP is trying to destabilize the government but the Congress leaders are united and we are with the coalition government. There is no misunderstanding among the Congress MLAs. Some of the MLA’s may be unhappy for not getting ministerial berth so the BJP is offering them Rs 3 crore to join the BJP. Now 104 BJP MLAs are staying in Gurgrama Haryana Resort spending Rs 4.5 crore every day. While we held a Padayatra demanding the completion of the NH road work, the BJP MLAs are enjoying in the resort.” 
Harish Kumar further said, “BJP leaders are making fun of Rahul Gandhi as Pappu, small boy etc but in the coming elections people will give a befitting reply to the BJP. Rahul Gandhi will surely become the prime minister after the next elections. Let the BJP MLAs who are enjoying in the resort come back to their respective constituencies. We are not interested in any operations since BJP is failing in their operations.”
Addressing the Protesters Ramanath Rai said, “During the oath-taking, the BJP failed to form the government. They tried to bribe our MLAs so that they could form the government. BJP came to power with the Party with a difference. In Goa, they did not have the majority but they bribed the MLAs and formed the government. BJP is not Bharatiya Janata Party but Bharatiya Jhoot Party. BJP leaders are liers, they are ready for operation Kamala and have given the responsibility to a state and national leader. Let the BJP MLAs work in their constituencies, let them show some concern towards the missing fishermen and put their efforts in bringing them back. The BJP is now involved in bribing the MLAs to form the government.”
Ramanath Rai further said, “We had held a Padayatra to complete the NH work, but the BJP leaders are giving various reasons. The BJP leaders have no knowledge about the road. The reason for the delay in completing the NH work is non payment. Even in the merging of Vijaya Bank with Baroda Bank, they are blaming Veerappa Moily. They are creating problem and blaming the congress Party for everything.”
