Congress Tigers are Afraid of Amit Shah’s DK Visit and Hiding in Caves: MP Nalin
Mangaluru: “Preparations for the elections are underway in the state. BJP National president Amit Shah will be visiting Dakshina, Udupi and Uttara Kannada from February 19 to 21 to meet the party workers. The Congress is afraid of Amit Shah’s visit to the twin districts and is issuing various statements. Dinesh Gundu Rao says that Amit Shah’ s visit will lead to communal violence. If the Congress leaders are afraid now itself, when Amit Shah comes to DK the Congress tigers will hide in caves, said MP Nalin Kumar Kateel in a press meet held at the BJP office here on February 18.
Addressing the media persons MP Nalin Kumar said, “The Congress leaders are aware that there is a BJP wave in the twin districts and BJP will win in all the 8 constituencies. So the Congress leaders like Gundu Rao and U T Khader are issuing statements against Amit Shah”.
MP Nalin Kumar further said, “Gundu Rao said that Amit Shah’s visit will create communal violence in the district but the highest communal violence, murders and gang wars occured during the Congress ruling. When Ramanath Rai was the Home minister there was communal violence. When the CM visited Dakshina Kannada Sharath Madival was killed, in Mysuru Rudresh, Uttara Kannada Paresh Mesta and many were killed during the Chief minister’s visit. Amit Shah is visiting DK to meet the party workers and to discuss about the preparations for the elections.”
MP Nalin Kumar also said, “On February 19, Amit Shah will arrive to Mangaluru Airport at 5:30 pm and at 6:00 pm Amit Shah will proceed to Kukke Subramanya Temple. At 8:30 pm he will participate in the rituals and have a Darshan at the Temple. On February 20 morning he will proceed to Kalkunda to take part in Navashakti Convention. At 9:15 am, Amit Shah will visit Sri Vivekananda College where he will meet the students to discuss on the New India. At 11:40 am he will proceed to Bantwal. At 12:00 noon Amit Shah will attend the Navashakti Convention at Bantwal and later visit Puttur and Beltangady. At 2 pm Amit Shah will proceed to Suratkal and visit Deepak’s house. Later he will meet the press in Suratkal. From there he will go to Udupi to address the Fishing Community. He will tour the entire state before the elections. In the first phase of his tour, Amit Shah will visit the Coastal districts.”
When asked about Amit Shah visiting Basheer’s house who was killed in revenge for Deepak’s murder, MP said, “On February 20, Amit Shah will visit only Deepak’s house”.
District BJP President Sanjeev Matandoor, Monappa Bhandary, Puja Pai, Kishore Rai, Harikrishna Bantwal, Vedavyas Kamath, Jitendra Kottari, Bharat Shetty, Ravishanker Mijar, Shobendra and otthers were also present.
