Congress to Hold Black Day on Nov 8, Parivarthana Rally a failure – Ramanath Rai

Mangaluru: “The BJP had organized a Parivarthana Rally in Bengaluru which is a failure. For whom was the Parivarthan Rally organized? Parivarthana means a change of government but people of the state are happy with the present government. On November 8, the Congress party will be observing the Black Day. One year ago the BJP government had demonetized Rs 1000 and Rs 500 currency and thousands of people faced problems”, said the district minister in-charge B Ramanath Rai in a press meet held at the DCC office here on November 3.

Addressing the mediapersons Ramanath Rai said, “On November 4, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will be visiting Mangaluru to inaugurate the ‘Indian Karate Championship 2017’ at the Nehru Maidan. After the inauguration, he will be proceeding to Shravanabelagola.”

Ramanath Rai further said, “On November 6, the AICC General Secretary and the State In-charge K C Venugopal will visit Mangaluru to take part in various party programmes. On the same day P C Vishnunathan, KPCC President G Parameshwar, S R Patil, D K Shivakumar and Dinesh Gundurao will also visit Mangaluru to take part in the Mane Mane ge Congress in every booth-level. On November 6, the mane mane ge Congress will start at 8:40 am from North Constituency Kavoor to Akash Bhavan.”

Ramanath Rai also said, “Before the elections, the Chief Minister considering the promises made in the last election manifesto will present another budget. The BJP in the centre has not fulfilled any of the promises made in their election manifesto during the last elections. During the BJP rule in the state, many ministers including CM Yeddyurappa had gone to jail. In Bengaluru, the BJP organized the Parivarthana Rally which was a failure. The programme witnessed empty chairs which has proved that the people of the state do not want to change the government and did not support the BJP. People are aware that the present government is fulfilling the promises made in the election manifesto. The BJP can’t fool all the people all the time.”

Mayor Kavitha Sanil, former Mayor Sashidhar Hegde, Corporators Praveen Chandra Alva, Naveen D’Souza and others were also present.
