Congress will retain power in assembly polls – Roshan Baig
Udupi: “Congress will retain power in the upcoming assembly polls in Karnataka”, said Minister for Urban Development and Haj Roshan Baig. He was speaking during his visit to the Congress Bhavan here on February 3.
The opposition parties are busy predicting Congress losing the assembly polls but Congress will bounce back with immense public support. CM Siddaramaiah is a mass leader, party workers should not pay heed to the predictions of opposition parties.
Demonetization has destroyed the economy; the country will face an economic crisis due to the fallout of demonetization. The assembly polls in the 5 poll-bound states will define the fallout of demonetization. The economic fallout will affect employment, GDP and other sectors of the economy.
The very slogan ‘Bharath Mata Ki Jai’ is not anyone’s ancestral asset, the people who challenge Congress on the 60 years of the political rule should learn from the sacrifices of its leaders. The tall leaders of Congress did not die in border disputes but they too sacrificed their lives for the nation.
Water scarcity is a burning issue in the coastal districts where sea water is in abundance. Officials are directed to prepare an effective plan on the desalination plant where water can be used for drinking and other purposes.
The underground drainage system has to be improved to prevent diseases from spreading. There is availability of 12000 acres of land in KGF where another city can be built like Bengaluru and its presence can lead towards better development, he added.
