Congress workers Offer ‘Food Grains’ for Amritha Vaibhava Programme
Udupi: On behalf of the Congress committee Udupi, food grains were offered on Friday February 24, for the Amritha Vaibhava programme.
Mata Amritanandamayi, also known as Amma, will be visiting Udupi on February 25 during which she would give darshan to the devotees and render discourses.
Under the leadership of Pramod Madhwaraj district minister in charge offered 50 quintals of Rice, 10 quintals of Jaggery, and 10 quintals of Pumpkins. Muniyal Udyakumar Shetty vice president of the district congress donated Rs 3 lakh to the programme on the occasion.
Food grains were taken out in a vehicle procession to the programme Venue. The procession was flagged off at the Congress Bhavan Brahmagiri. The procession passed through Bannanje, city bus-stand, Kalsanka and culminated at the MGM grounds.
Congress leader Prakyath Shetty, Sathish Ameen Padukere, Jayashree Krishnaraj, Chandrika Shetty, Nagesh Kumar Udyavar, Yathish Karkera, Janardhan Thonse, Ramesh Kanchan, Prashanth Poojary, Divakar Kunder, Amrith Shenoy, Kishan Hegde Kolkebail, Narashimamoorthi, Dinesh Putran, Neeraj Patil and others were present.
