‘Conspiracy behind DC Sasikanth’s Resignation Should be Investigated’ – M B Sadashiv
Mangaluru: “From the past two years Sasikanth Senthil was serving the District as Deputy Commissioner and is known for his people-friendly nature. His resignation was a shock to the people of the district. What made the DC resign all of a sudden? Who pressurized Sasikanth to resign and who is behind his resignation should be investigated”, said the state vice president of JD(S) M B Sadashiv in a press meet held at Hotel Janatha Delux here on September 7.
Addressing the mediapersons M B Sadashiv said, “While resigning from the IAS post, DC Sasikanth Senthil has stated in his letter, “Fundamental building blocks of our diverse democracy are being compromised in an unprecedented manner”. Being an IAS officer they have been trained in all the fields and such an officer resigning from the Administrative services creates doubts. It is a black dot in the administration of the Country.”
M B Sadashiv further said, “The sudden resignation of DC Sasikanth Senthil has created suspicion and proves that there was pressure on him to resign. Being an upright officer Sasikanth Senthil did not reveal it, but we need to know the conspiracy behind his resignation.”
M B Sadashiv also said, “When Gopinath Kannan from Kerala and neighbouring Annamalai resigned from their post, we did not react but when our own DC who served this district for 2 years resigned, it has made us think. We need to strengthen the IAS officers by boosting their morale. We should request Sasikanth Senthil to withdraw his resignation and continue his service to the state and the country”.
Former Minister Amarnath Shetty also spoke on the occasion. JD(S) Spokesperson Sushil Noronha, Vasanth Poojary, Sumati Hegde, Rameeza Banu, Pushparaj and others were also present.
