Conspiracy to Finish BJP and Sangh Parivar in District – Sanjeev Matandoor

Mangaluru: “The Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah, District Minister In-charge Ramanath Rai, Minister for Food and Civil Supplies U T Khader and other Congress leaders are trying to finish the BJP and Sangh Parivar. The District Minister In-charge and the State government has failed to maintain the law and order situation in Dakshina Kannada District. From Past 47 days section 144 has been imposed in Bantwal including other three Taluks which have created fear among the people”, said the district BJP president Sanjeev Matandoor in a press meet held at the BJP office here on July 10.

Addressing the mediapersons Sanjeev Matandoor said, “The government has no control over the sand and drug mafia in the district. The government is even not able to control the anti-national organisations like the SDPI and PFI, it has no control over the contract killers coming from Kerala. Despite section 144, stabbing, attacks and attempts on the life of innocents have been reported which shows the failure of the law and order situation in the district. The government and the police department have failed to control the law and order situation in the district.”

Sanjeev further said, “On July 7, when the CM had visited Mangaluru, section 144 was relaxed. RSS worker Sharath died after being brutally attacked, but the murderers are still not arrested. When the body of Sharath was taken in a procession there was no any untoward incident reported. But cases have been filed against HJV leader Satyajit Suratkal, Sharan Pumpwell, Pradeep Pumpwell, Muralikrishna Hamsathadka and Harish Punja under section 307 in the Bantwal Town Police Station”.

Sanjeev also said, “Satyajith was leading the procession and till B C Road the procession went on peacefully. But in B C Road some miscreants pelted stones. When there was stone pelting Satyajith was not present in fact he was leading the procession. Then why cases have filed under 307 against Satyajit Suratkal and other four members. Cases filed against them should be withdrawn immediately if not we will stage a massive protest in the coming days”.

“In the history of DK for the first time, section 144 has been imposed for 47 days which shows the failure of the district minister in-charge. He should immediately step down from his post. The police should investigate the case thoroughly and arrest the murderers of Sharath. If the police will investigate the case without any discrimination BJP will co-operate with the police. We have now lost faith in the home ministry so we urge the case to be handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA)”, said Sanjeev.

Former MLC Monappa Bhandary, Former minister Nagaraj Shetty, Former MLA Yogish Bhat, Kishore Rai, Sudharshan Moodbidri, Dr Y Bharat Shetty and Sanjay Prabhu were also present.
