Conspiracy/Plot to Kill Rationalist Prof Narendra Nayak! Man Escapes before getting Caught
Mangaluru: While the brutal murder of Gauri Lankesh is still to be solved even though quite a few people have been caught for their involvement in that mysterious murder, here locally we have some stunning news that a young unidentified man had plotted to kill rationalist Professor Narendra Nayak. Is it a conspiracy plot, after Prof Narendra has been receiving several threats in the past, has to be thoroughly investigated by the police department.
Speaking to Team Mangalorean Prof. Nayak said, ” Around 2.30 pm in the afternoon on Tuesday 13 June, a suspicious man had entered my flat premises located Martin Pais road, Opposite Karavali Utsav ground, Lalbagh, and his suspicious movement has been caught on a nearby CCTV. The man started inquiring about my whereabouts and other details with the flat watchman and his wife. In the meantime, when the watchman got some doubts on this strange man, by the way, he was acting, so he and his wife tried to catch him, but unfortunately, the man escaped-which is also seen in the CCTV footage”.
“I am very well positive that this man has something planned to finish me because for the fact I have been demanding justice for slain RTI activist Vinayak Baliga. Ever since then I have been receiving many threats, apart from other threats earlier to that. Many have even slashed my two-wheeler tires, broken cables etc. And also since I am fighting for human rights violation cases and other illegal activities in the city, hate mongers want to kill me. I very well know that there are many outfits that are waiting to eliminate rationalists, and me being one of them. I have complained about this incident to the Police commissioner and other police departments and also the state government. At the moment I am not sure who might have sent this stranger to inquire about me. I am leaving this matter to the police to investigate further and do the needful”.
When asked after receiving so many threats, including this suspicious plot, if he is planning to quit what he has been doing so far, for which he replied, ” No matter, threat or no threat, we all have to die someday. But I will still continue to do what I have been doing so far, fighting for human rights violation cases and other illegal activities in the City, including corrupt officials.
