Cordial not Political meeting with Ananth Kumar – Pramod Madhwaraj
Udupi: As the political battle escalates for the 2018 assembly elections, the confusion among political circles prevails. Minister Pramod Madhwaraj, the strong baton of Congress in Coastal Karnataka is amusing his political opponents and also his party workers with his sudden political moves.
Rumors of Pramod Madhwarj joining BJP are widely circulated in political circles. His sudden meeting with Union Minister Ananth Kumar has left his party workers and also his political opponents guessing. The social media has sharply reacted to the meeting between Pramod Madhwarj and Ananth Kumar.
Ananth Kumar who was in Bramahvar to attend a convention organized by BJP had visited the Inspection Bungalow. Pramod Madhwaraj was also present at the Inspection Bungalow. While media persons questioned Pramod about his meeting with Ananth Kumar, he reacted saying, “I just shared pleasantries with the Union Minister, I had visited the Inspection Bungalow to freshen up”. He also said that “The meeting was just to share pleasantries with the Union Minister, it is not a political meeting”
BJP leader R Ashok, MP Shobha Karanadlaje, MLA Karkala Sunil Kumar and others were present.
Chief Whip of Legislative Council Ivan D’Souza has said in Chickballapur that it is far from the truth that Congress leaders of Coastal Karnataka are joining BJP, BJP is a Sinking Ship. In the coming days more BJP leaders will be joining the Congress, he added.
