Countdown to Drive out Minister Rai from DK Begins – BJP Yuva Morcha
Mangaluru: The BJP Yuva Morcha staged a protest against the District Minister In-charge Ramanath Rai for advising the SP to arrest Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat in connection to the Kalladka Violence, in front of the DC office here on June 19.
Addressing the protesters the District President of BJP Yuva Morcha Harish Punja said, “Being the district minister in-charge Ramanath Rai’s duty is to unite the people by creating harmony and peace but Rai is trying to please the Mulsim community and trying to create violence between Hindus and Muslims in Kalladka and Kanyana. Kallakda Prabhakar Bhat has worked for the welfare of the Hindu Community and Rai was pressurising the SP to arrest Prabhakar Bhat under IPC section 307.”
Harish further said, “When the elections are nearing Rai is afraid of losing the Muslim vote bank, so Rai is talking against Kalladka Bhat to win the trust of the Muslims and pleasing them. Rai does not have the knowledge of section 307. It is not possible to file a 307 case against Kalladka Bhat, being a minister he cannot file a case under IPC section 307 on an ordinary person. Rai had gathered his followers at the Inspection Bungalow and pressurised the SP to file a case against Prabhakar Bhat, this shows Rai is trying to control the police department.”
Harish also said, “Rai has put his hands in the Bee-hive, in the coming days the people of Bantwal will teach Rai a befitting lesson. If Rai gives any inciting statements against Kalladka Bhat, the Hindu community will not sit quietly. If Minister Rai does not apologise, in the coming days the voters will drive him off from Dakshina Kannada,” warned Harish.
President of Dharma Jagarana Samiti Muralikrishna said, “The District Minister In-charge Ramanath Rai had called the SP to the Inspection Bungalow and ordered to arrest Kalladka Bhat under section 307 and said nothing will happen if Bhat will be arrested. But Rai does not know that Kalladka Bhat is educating more than 1000 students every year. Being a minister he does not know the meaning of section 307. Rai’s countdown begins from today in DK. On June 24, in BC Road we will give a befitting reply to Ramanath Rai. Let Rai not test our patience.”
Bajrang Dal president Sharan Pumpwell, RSS leaders Ravi, Ramprasad, Sanjeev Shetty, Sandeep Shetty and others were also present.
