Couple Posing as Guests try to Loot Gold from lone Woman, Handed over to Police
Kundpaur: The locals handed over a couple to the police when they tried to loot gold from a lone woman posing as guests at Ferry road, Kundapur on September 6.
The arrested have been identified as Firdos (35) a resident of Majoor Kaup and Aseefa a resident of Karkala
According to sources, on Friday afternoon both came to Abbu Mohammed’s house at Ferry road Kundapur posing as guests to invite them for marriage. Soon after they tried to loot gold ornaments from Abbu Mohammed’s wife. As she screamed for help, passers-by who were going to the Mosque for Namaz heard the woman’s cries and they rushed for help. Both were caught and later handed over to the Kundapur Police.
Both Firdos and Aseefa are facing murder charges and had recently been released on bail.
A case has been registered in the Kundapur Police Station.
