COVID-19: MCC Sterilizes Bendur Ward no 34 Road
Mangaluru: On March 23, the Health and Family Welfare department initiated the sterilization procedure to prevent COVID – 19 from spreading further in public places.
The sterilization procedures have already been done in many areas. There is a fear that the Coronavirus will spread to the community level. To prevent the virus from spreading further, the district administration has taken all the necessary measures. On March 27, the district minister in-charge announced the total lockdown of the district on March 28.
On March 28, under the leadership of Corporator Naveen D’Souza, two tankers arrived in Bendurwell area ward no 34 and carried out the sterilization process in the area.
Speaking to mangalorean.com Corporator Naveen D’Souza said, “From Mangaluru City Corporation under the direction of Mayor Diwakar, we have started to sterilize the roads. Under the leadership of MCC officers Manohar and Girish, the sterilization is done in the ward. Manohar, Girish and Santhosh are working hard to protect the people”.
Naveen D’Souza further said, “The MCC Drainage system team is working day and night to sterilize the city. Being the corporator of this area, I request the people not to come out from their houses. Stay home and stay safe.”
