COVID – 19: MIA Starts Stamping Passengers for Self Quarantine
Mangaluru: The Corona Virus is spreading rapidly around the world. In India, it is mostly found in people who have travelled from Abroad. Many countries have suspended air travel and have banned international flights from landing in their country.
As the Coronavirus has started to affect people in our country. The state, as well as the Central government, have taken all the necessary measures to control the spread of the virus. The government also suspended landing of all International flights from March 22 for A Week.
The state government had recently declared holiday to all the schools so that the children would remain safe in their homes.
As the number of suspected people affected by the Coronavirus has bee increasing in the state, the Mangaluru International Airport has taken the initiative to stamp all the passengers for self-quarantine.
Every passenger who has travelled to Mangaluru from other countries should compulsorily observe home quarantine.
In this process, the airport authorities stamp every passenger on the back of the hand (other side of the palm) mentioning the number of days for self-quarantine.
