COVID – 19; Two more Positive Cases in Bhatkal – DC Dr Harish
Bhatkal: Two more COVID – 19 positive cases were found in Bhatkal on March 24.
Speaking to the media persons, DC Dr K Harish Kumar said, “On March 21, two persons who had arrived from Dubai were tested positive for COVID – 19. A 40-year-old man had come from Dubai and landed at the Mangaluru International Airport from where he had travelled to Bhatkal. Another 65-year-old man from Dubai who had landed at the Mangaluru International Airport had travelled by Train to Bhatkal”.
DC Dr Harish further said, “After reaching Bhatkal they had voluntarily gone to the hospital and got admitted. Their Throat swab culture was sent for test, and the report has confirmed it to be positive for COVID 19. We have tested many persons who have come from Gulf countries. Bhatkal has been in lockdown, we have taken all the necessary measures to treat the affected patients”.
DC also said, “Fumigation will be carried out in all the neighbouring houses of the infected persons. I request all the people to remain indoors to prevent the spread of COVED 19”.
