Cow should be Declared the National Animal – Sri Muktananda Swamiji

Udupi: Sri Muktananda Swamiji of Kerije Math urged the cow to be declared as the National animal and a resolution should be made during the Dharma Sansad to build the Ram Temple.

He was speaking after participating in the Chappara Muhurat Programme of Dharma Sansad at the Royal Garden on Friday, November 17. The Swamiji further said that today we respect the tiger as our national animal. Keeping in mind the Articles of the Constitution and to provide a legal entity for the protection and conservation of the cow, it is expected from the government that the cow is declared a national animal.

Swamiji also said that there is no safety for Hindu outfits as well as Hindu activists in Karnataka and other states. Those wearing Saffron shawl are being treated as terrorists. We should bring a change in Karnataka after the historic Dharma Sansad. Many governments are acting as anti-Hindu and this should stop. The Dharma Sansad should take the right decision to change those governments acting as Anti-Hindu, he added.

Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji of Paryaya Pejawar Math who performed the Chappara Muhurat said that about 2,500 Swamijis and saints from across the country are expected to participate in the Dharma Sansad which will discuss the problems in the Hindu community and take decisions on them. The public can also participate in the Dharma Sansad. Everyone has supported the demand for the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, but a decision on this could be taken only by the Dharma Sansad, he said.
