Cricket Betting – Bookie Arrested in Boloor
Mangaluru: The Barke police arrested a youth in connection with world cup cricket betting from Mission Compound, Boloor here on June 19.
The arrested has been identified as Sudesh (26) from Mission Compound, Boloor
On June 19, on getting reliable information that a youth using Cricket Exchange Mobile App was betting on World cup cricket between New Zealand and South Africa and collecting money from the public. The Barke police got into action and raided the place.
When the police reached the spot Sudesh who was involved in Cricket betting was caught red-handed.
The accused Sudesh was collecting money from people for cricket betting between New Zealand and South Africa. The Barke police arrested Sudesh and seized 3 mobile phones worth Rs 90,000 and cash all worth Rs 1.15 lakh from his possession. Raids will continue to curb the Cricket betting bookies said the police.
Under the direction of Police Commissioner Sandeep Patil, DCP Law and Order Hanumantharaya and DCP Crime and Traffic Lakshmi Ganesh and under the guidance of ACP Central Sudhir Hegde and Barke Police Inspector P A Suraj the operation was carried out by the Barke police Rajaram, Mahesh Patil, Krishnappa Nandyal, Nagaraj Chandaragi and Kumar.
