CRPF as ‘Chowkidars’ Safeguarding the EVM’s Stored Inside Strong Rooms
Mangaluru: EVM machines used for Lok Sabha elections in DK are now stored inside National Institute of Technology Karnataka at Suratkal. Round the clock security has been provided to these strong rooms by Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). It took till 10 am on Friday, when all the EVM’s of all the Assembly constituencies coming under DK Lok Sabha constituency were safely transported by buses and secured within the strong rooms at NITK. The Election Commission has taken proper action for the counting of the votes here on 23 May 2019. The fate of Modi’s Phir Ek Bhar Sarkar or Rahul’s Naya Sarkar, will be decided on this day.
The decision of the people on the candidates contesting for the Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha constituency has been recorded in the EVM’s which have been safely transported and secured at the strong rooms at NITK Surathkal. The rooms wherein the EVM’s have been stored have been locked and the lock has been stamped. Dakshina Kannada District Deputy Commissioner and Election Officer Sasikanth Senthil, AssistantCommissioner Ravichandra, Police Commissioner Sandeep Patil and DCP Hanumanthraya who visited the centres on Friday, inspected the security arrangements therein.
