CS will decide on Tipu Jayanti celebrations – Ramalinga Reddy
Udupi: “The Chief Secretary will decide on Tipu Jayanti celebrations”, said Minister for Transport Ramalinga Reddy. He was speaking to the media persons during his visit to Udupi to inaugurate the JNURM bus depot at Nittur here on November 4.
The High Court of Karnataka has directed the Chief Secretary to take a decision regarding Tipu Jayanti and CS after consultations.
When asked on the steel flyover he said, “After the construction of flyovers the traffic logjams have reduced which will help in providing better connectivity. It is not right to say that there is no need of a flyover but suggestions for improvement will be taken”. When asked about the cutting down of trees he said that if the road is widened trees will be affected.
When asked on the appointments made to corporations and the differences regarding the appointments, he said that the appointments are left to the discretion of the chief minister and the KPCC president.
The city services are introduced in the cities having a population of one lakh and more. Bus depots are constructed for districts where JNURM buses are introduced.
