Currency Note Garlands Worth Rs 6 lakh Await Huli Vesha Artistes at Shiroor Math
Udupi: Sri Laxmivara Theertha Swamiji of Shiroor Math has decided to celebrate Sri Krishna Janmashtami in a grand manner.
The Shiroor Math has already prepared garlands of currency notes worth Rs 6 lakh for ‘Huli Vesha’ participants. Laxmivara Teertha Swamiji of Shiroor Math is known for honouring tiger dancers during the Ashtami with garlands of currency notes.
Udupi is a place which is synonymous with Lord Krishna and that is the reason Krishnashtami here is celebrated with unique traditional pomp and gaiety.
For people in coastal Karnataka, Sri Krishna Janmashtami is not a mere festival of the birth of Lord Krishna but a festival to share happiness with lots of fun and entertainment. Janmashtami for locals is incomplete without Mosaru Kudike and Huli Vesha.
On September 14 – the Vittal Pindi day, Sri Laxmivara Theertha Swamiji of Shiroor Math will garland the Huli Vesha participants. Accordingly, the Swamiji has prepared garlands worth Rs 6 lakh of Rs 50 and Rs 100 currency notes.
