Customs Officers Seize Gold Worth Rs 24.96 Lakh at MIA
Mangaluru: The Customs officials at the Mangalore International Airport, seized Rs 24.96 lakh worth of gold concealed in the form of paste and other forms from three passengers who were trying to smuggle it on October 3.
On October 3, a passenger trying to smuggle 493.76 grams of gold concealed in the form of paste was seized by the customs officials. The gold was recovered by the officials during checking.
On September 30, the customs officials seized 143.480 grams of gold chain and a bracelet weighing 32.30 grams from two women.
In both the cases, gold worth Rs 24.96 lakh was seized. Further investigation is on in this regard
