Cycle Jatha by MACC and NYKM Mark First Anniversary of ‘Fit India’
Mangaluru: To mark the first anniversary of Fit India, the Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and the Nehru Yuva Kendra Mangaluru along with Mangalore Cycling Club (MACC) held a Cycle Jatha on September 26.
The Jatha was flagged off by the DK Youth Coordinator of Nehru Yuva Kendra Raghuveer Suterpete from Lalbagh.
Speaking to mangalorean.com Raghuveer said, “On the first anniversary of “Fit India”, the Nehru Yuva Kendra, Mangaluru is organizing various programmes related to fitness. Through Fit India programme, children, youth and seniors should join hands to create a healthy society. Today MACC club has joined hands to hold the cycle Jatha, which will create awareness among the people.”
Raghuveer further said, “I would like to thank the president of MACC Anil Shet for taking the initiative to hold the Cycle Jatha. I thank Senior citizen’s P A Mohammed and Joseph Pereira for taking part in the Cycle Jatha.”
