Cycles Collected in Mangaluru Bring Joy to School Children in Ankola
Mangaluru: In a heartwarming initiative, cycles collected in Mangaluru were distributed to school children in the Ankola rural area, bringing smiles to their faces. Children from nine schools, including Kumbarkeri, Angadi Bail, and Kerigadde, received the cycles, which will make their long journeys to school much easier.
The cycles, both new and old, were lovingly repaired and distributed to the children. The initiative was made possible by the contributions of several individuals, including Rakesh Bolar, who conceptualized the idea; Harsha D’Souza, who provided storage space; Vivek Gouda, who helped collect cycles; Rajesh Devadiga, who arranged transportation; and Devanna, Alex (USA), and Manjunatha Gouda, who assisted in distributing the cycles.
This thoughtful initiative aims to provide cycles to children living in rural areas who face long walks to school, giving new life to cycles that might otherwise go unused in city flats.
