History: Dadi’s Dum Biryani

It all began in 1952 when Hajia Sayeeda Shamim (lovingly called Dadi) was born in a Keralite family in India. Springs and autumns went by and Dadi grew from a beautiful young girl to a loving grandmother of twelve. Dadi had imbibed the genes of culinary excellence from her father, a professional chef, and her mother, a great cook. Dadi’s Dum Biryani traces its origins to the culinary expertise of Dadi who would prepare the best of dishes for her grandchildren. They would especially crave for Dadi’s Biryani and she would lovingly cook it for them each time. While Dadi was receiving praises from one and all, the oldest of her grandchildren Syed, Bilaal and their childhood friend and neighbor Tilak all young men now realized that it was time to make available her delicious biryani to all. With a management degree under their belt, Syed, Bilaal & Tilak decided to give wings to their dreams by serving Dadi’s Biryani to food-lovers across the globe. Under the Brand Dadi’s Dum Biryani, They wish to place Dadi’s home-made Biryani aroma and flavor on the global cuisine map.

Their journey has just begun. With their first restaurant in Bangalore, Dadi’s Dum Biryani is looking forward to serving its signature dishes across the globe with the passage of time. Dadi’s Dum Biryani shall ensure that home-made taste is served at its best while maintaining a perfect blend of the East and the West.

Gradually, apart from India and GCC countries, they plan to expand into UK, USA, New Zealand and Australia. The next venture after biryani would be to serve seafood to Bangaloreans to give them a much-awaited opportunity of savoring fresh coastal cuisine.

The menu card spreads out a number of dishes along with the signature Biryani variants to suit the palate of the non-vegetarians as well as vegetarians.
