During my tenure for the last two years, all the members of CREDAI have supported me and I am thankful to them. CREDAI is promoting real estate business and we have a large number of members. When adding new members CREDAI sees to it that the builder has completed at least one building with occupancy certificate. Real estate business is going through tough times. I urge politicians to include builders in the policy making process. We have been associated with Fr Muller Hospital in getting treatment for the construction workers at subsidised rates, and around 1000 construction have got their Fr Muller Health card. We have also given scholarships to nearly 1000 construction workers children.”
MLA J R Lobo congratulating the new president DB Mehta said, “Today D B Mehta has taken charge of CREDAI. It is not easy to take everyone together, and it is not only about taking the organisation together but also striving for the development of Mangaluru. CREDAI members look very comfortable on the outside but their lives are not so easy, as construction business is a very difficult one. I congratulate CREDAI for standing firm and facing all problems in a determined way. I congratulate all the members of Credai for developing CREDAI into such a good association. Now that our City has been selected as one of India’s Smart City, for that the support and encouragement of the builders are very much required. A city can grow only through investment – let us see how we can make this city grow by putting in more investment.”
Mayor Kavitha speaking said that Credai has played an important role in the infrastructure of Mangaluru City. As Mangaluru is becoming a Smart City, we need your ideas and support to make Mangaluru one of the best Smart City. And if Credai needs any help from MCC, we are always ready.
