DC Ibrahim Inaugurates ‘Kala Jatha’
Mangaluru: To mark the beginning of the 4th year of the Congress Government in the state, an awareness programme ‘Kala Jatha’ was inaugurated at the DC office premises here, on July 19.
Deputy commissioner A B Ibrahim inaugurated the Kala Jatha by cutting the ribbon.
Addressing the mediapersons, A B Ibrahim said that the state government has completed three successful years. In these three years, the government has implemented various schemes such as Anna Bhagya, Kheera Bhagya, Shadi Bhagya, Shudda Niru Bhagya, Rajiv Aroghya Bhagya, Nirmala Bhagya, Vidyasiri Bhagya, Krishi Bhagya and many other schemes which are running successfully in the state.
The DC further said that the government has introduced a new scheme for the farmers, ‘Krishi Bhagya’ and to bring awareness among the people about the various schemes, the Information Department has organized a 21-day jatha. “The jatha will travel within the entire district in 21 days and bring awareness among the people about government schemes so that the people will be benefited from this. The government has implemented many schemes but there are no beneficiaries for some schemes. Hence, awareness should be created so that the people can avail the benefits of those schemes.”
Ibrahim urged the people to make use of the schemes and said that the information department needs to bring awareness among the people in this regard.
Information officer Khader Shah speaking on the occasion said that the CDs of the government schemes will be played during the 21 days of the jatha throughout the district.
DCP L&O Shantharaju, MCC Commissioner Mohammed Nazir, ADC Kumar and other officers were also present.
