DCIB Arrests Man Moving Around with Pistol
Udupi: The DCIB Police arrested a man who was moving around with a pistol and six live bullets, from Bhujanga Park, here on June 22.
The arrested has been identified as Raghavendra Kanchan (30), a resident of Bailakere Udupi.
After receiving reliable information, DCIB Inspector Ratnakumar and team arrested Raghavendra Kanchan near Bhujanga Park, Ajjarkadu and seized the pistol and 6 live bullets worth Rs 75,000 from his possession. The accused has been handed over to the Udupi Town Police Station.
Under the instructions of Annamalai SP Udupi and the able guidance of Additional SP Vishnuvardhan, DySP Udupi Kumar Swami and DCIB CPI Jaishanker, DCIB SI Rathankumar and ASI Rosario D’Souza, Ravichandra, Shivananda, Dayandanda, Raghavendra and Naveenchandra assisted in the operation.
