DCIB Police Arrest 5 Nepalis in Shiroor Gold Jewellery robbery case

DCIB Police Arrest 5 Nepalis in Shiroor Gold Jewellery robbery case

Udupi: The District Crime Branch police on Tuesday, September 19, arrested 5 Nepali Citizens in connection with the Shiroor Gold Palace Jewellery robbery case.

The arrested have been identified as Shiva Singh Bahadhur, Kamar Singh Soudh, Ramesh Singh Parki, Hark Bahadur Soudh and Prem Bhadur Soud.

According to the police, on 2 April 2017, the Shiroor Gold Palace Jewellery showroom was robbed by unidentified persons and the silver jewellery was looted. On Tuesday the team led by DCIB PSI Sampath Kumar arrested all the five accused along with the silver jewellery. The Police have recovered 3 kg of Silver Jewellery worth of Rs 1.80 lakh from the accused.

Under the Direction of Dr Sanjiv Patil SP Udupi and Praveen H Nayak DySP Kundapur the operation was carried out by DCIB Sampath Kumar ASI Rosario D’Souza, Ravichandra and staff Sureshchandra Shetty, Ramu Hegde, Raghavendra Uppunda, Santhosh Kunder, Praveen, Rajkumar Byndoor, Dayananda Prabhu, Shivananda and Raghavendra.
