DCIB Police Arrest Ganja Peddlers in Manipal
Udupi: The DCIB police have arrested two persons in connection with Ganja peddling near the Country Club at Manipal here on July 15.
The arrested have been identified as Abdul Rauf (20) and Aftab Ali (21), residents of Doddanagudde, Perampalli.
According to the DCIB police, on July 16, on getting reliable information about two youth who were selling Ganja on a motorbike near the Country Club at Manipal, the DCIB police got into action, raided the spot and arrested the accused.
The police seized 1.4 kg of Ganja, a motorbike and two mobile phones all worth Rs 1.45 Lakh from their possession.
Under the direction of SP Vishnuvardhan and the able guidance of ASP, Kumarchandra, and DySP Jaishanker, the operation was carried out by the DCIB team lead by Manjappa, ASI Ravichandra, Ramu Hegde, Chandra Shetty, Suresh, Santhosh Kundar, Raghavendra Uppunda, Rajkumar, Dayananda Prabhu, Shivananda, and Raghavendra.
