DCIB police arrest two in Barkur House Robbery case
Udupi: The DCIB police arrested two persons and two minors in connection to the robbery case which was reported on January 30 in Maskibail, Barkur.
The arrested have been identified as Prahlad Poojary (23) and Prashanth G (24) residents of Gundmi Village of Sastan.
According to police, the accused had broken into the locked house and had stolen Gold and cash. The police have arrested the accused and recovered Rs 58,000 worth gold, Rs 2560 cash and a car all worth of Rs 5.6 lakh from their possession.
The accused Prahalad was earlier involved in a chain snatching case in Koteshwar. Many cases have also been registered against him in the Kota and Kundapur Police Stations.
Under the direction of K T Balakrishna SP Udupi and Vishnuvardhan ASP, the operation was carried out by Sampath Kumar SI DCIB, Rosario D’Souza ASI, Staff Ravichandra, Chandra Shetty, Ramu Hegde, Santhosh Kunder, Suresh K, Raghavendra Uppunda, Praveen, Shivananda, Raj Kumar, Dayananda Prabhu, Driver Raghavendra, Technical Section ASI Achuytha, Vijayakumar and Ramesh Naik.
