DCP Shantharaju Inaugurates Police Children’s Sports day
Mangaluru: The police commissionerate organised Police Children’s Sports day, at the SP grounds here on November 20.
The programme began with an invocation. ACP central Uday Nayak welcomed the gathering.
The Police Children’s Sports day was inaugurated by DCP Law and Order Shantharaju by releasing the balloons and freeing the doves in the air.
Addressing the gathering DCP Shantharaju said, “Today we have organised the sports meet for the children of the Police. The Police have a busy schedule and are always under work pressure. But today they have come with their family to spend time to watch their children participating in various sports. It is a welcome break to the police personnel. The main aim of this sports meet is to encourage the children of the police personnel to take part in sports activities. Winning and losing is a part of the game but participation matters a lot”.
The DCP further said, “The participating children should inculcate the sportsman spirit in them. The sports meet will strengthen the unity among the children of the police personnel. Let this sports meet help to bring sports personalities from the police department and bring laurels”.

compered the programme. Balakrishna and Jagadish are the judges for the sports meet.
