Decomposed Bodies of Couple found in Thokkottu
Mangaluru: The decomposed bodies of a couple were found in Chembugudee Thokkottu here on June 19.
The deceased have been identified as Padmanabh (78) and his wife Vimala (65) from Chembugudde.
The couple had three children who were living separately after their marriage. On Wednesday afternoon Padmanabh’s son-in-law Umanath came to Chembugudde to meet his parents-in-law. When he knocked at the house door there was no response. Umanath got suspicious since there was some foul smell emanating from the house.
Immediately he informed the Ullal police with the help of locals. The Ullal police broke open the house door and found decomposed bodies of the couple in the kitchen.
The Ullal police inspector Gopikrishna and PSI Gurukanthi visited the spot for further investigations. The reason for the extreme step is yet to be ascertained.
It is learnt that both husband and wife were suffering from health issues.
