Demand for Company Secretaries Zooms – Chethan Nayak
Mangaluru: Mangalore chapter of Institute Of Company Secretaries Of India organized day long workshop on the capital market, FEMA, GST and result orientation on 16 March, at Ocean Pearl. More than 100 participants participated in the workshop. CS Chethan Nayak, Chairman of the Mangalore chapter of Institute Of Company Secretaries Of India briefed about the requirement of updation and also explained about the opportunities available for Company Secretaries.
The recent ordinance passed by the central government has increased the demand for qualified Company Secretaries across the country. Now to continue as an “Active Company”, a company which has a paid up capital of more than Rupees 5 crores should have a full-time Company Secretary in their role. It is expected that as of now such companies are more than the availability of qualified Company Secretaries and shortly the demand for qualified Company Secretaries will increase drastically. It is also expected that such an increase in demand will continue for the next 4-5 years.
Students who have completed the Second PUC and Graduation can join the Company Secretary course to grab the opportunities within the next 2-3 years. The qualified Company Secretaries not only have demand in employment but there is also a huge demand for practicing as Independent Professional providing services in corporate matters, GST, Customs, FEMA.
Institute of Company Secretaries of India, Mangalore Chapter, is a premier institute of Company Secretaries having more than 48 members and 1500 students. The Mangalore Chapter is conducting various programmes for company secretary professionals and students.
