Demonetization – BJP Holds Sambramacharane for PM Modi’s Bold move
Mangaluru: The members of the district BJP observed “Sambramacharane” (Celebrations), by distributing sweets against the Akrosha Divas by the opposition in front of the DC office here on November 28.
The BJP workers visited the nearby Nationalized bank and congratulated the bank officials with roses for their service to customers after the demonetization of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency notes.
Addressing the party workers, District BJP president Sanjeeva Matandoor said, “To eliminate the black money and to take the country towards development, prime minister Narendra Modi has taken a very bold step. On November 8, Modi announced the demonetization of Rs 500 and 1000 currency notes for the welfare of the 120 crore people of the country. Today we are here to greet the Nationalized Bank staff for their service and also request the bank officials to provide good service when the customers come to the bank”.
Former MLC Monappa Bhandary said, “The bold step to curb corruption and to bring back the black money by PM Modi is very much appreciated. Corruption is rampant in our country and Modi has taken a revolutionary step. People have welcomed the PM’s move and congratulated him. After the demonetization of the currency, people are going to the bank and depositing the money. But the opposition is observing “Akrosh Divas” against the Demonetization of notes. The people of the district have not supported Akrosha Divas and proved that they are supporting PM Modi’s move of demonetizing the notes.
Later the BJP workers distributed sweets and burst firecrackers. BJP Yuva Morcha president Harish Punja, General Secretary Nandan Mallya, Vedavyas and others were also present.
