Depressed 22-year-old II Yr MBBS Student Commits Suicide by Hanging in City

Mangaluru: A Second-year MBBS student studying in a private medical college committed suicide by hanging himself in his hostel room in Kankanady, Mangaluru. It is learnt that the student was suffering from depression and was under treatment for the same. According to the police, the victim is Amrith, aged 22, hailing from K R Pet in Mandya District, and was pursuing his MBBS at a private college in the City.

Sources reveal that coming back late in the evening from college, he moved into his hostel room, locked the door and hanged himself. The door to his hostel room was broke open by doctors staying next to his room, where they found Amrith dead.

A case has been registered in Mangaluru South police station, and police are investigating the case.
